Pascal's Wager vs rejection of solipsism and acceptance of uniformitarianism?

Because believing in a deity is a huge commitment. You're comparing apples and watermelons when you put all these ideas side by side. The Atheist's Wager is the more appropriate one to quote, which is the more accepted one (surprisingly, if you have not already come across it, it does not state that having a belief in a deity is a bad thing necessarily, only if there is no deity/you're believing in the wrong one).
